Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly alongside your comment.

Membership & Event Registration: If you register as a member or sign up for events through our Members Area, we collect the personal information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any other details required to process your registration.

SMS / Text Messaging: We collect information you voluntarily provide. If you opt in to SMS, we may send membership, booking, reminder, support and promotional text messages. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to re-enter your details when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For registered users, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Membership and event registration data is retained for as long as necessary to manage your membership and comply with legal or record-keeping obligations.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you’ve provided.
